Furniture and Cabinets
In the "Furniture surfaces" repair examples, you will find repairs to both real wood and decorative surfaces. Real wood is usually available with clear lacquered surfaces - sometimes you will also find oiled, waxed, leached or stained surfaces. Real wood is characterised by its lively character, with the wood structure appearing darker or lighter depending on the incidence of light. Special waxes such as Effect Wax and Hard Wax MATT have been developed for these types of surfaces. Decorative surfaces are often also referred to as "artificial surfaces". Examples include melamine resin surfaces and paper foils. Decorative surfaces do not have the lively character of a real wood surface, which is why they are almost exclusively retouched with top coats. Special features of decorative surfaces are effect surfaces with gold and silver pigmentation as well as highly textured surface looks.
Flooring and Stairs
Whether real wood for parquet or paper foil for laminate, the variety of floor coverings knows almost no bounds. Sometimes almost plain, sometimes textured, sometimes super matt, sometimes high gloss - almost everything is represented. And regardless of whether it is parquet, laminate, cork and linoleum or even solid wood stair treads, all floor coverings have one thing in common: they are subject to a high degree of wear and are always exposed to high loads. The repair products and repairs must therefore also be able to withstand these demands. Only very hard fillers are used here. We have listed some common examples.
Windows, Doors, Sun Rooms
The windows, doors, sun rooms sector includes both real wood and decorative surfaces. The types are very diverse: from foil-laminated construction elements to thick-layer glaze-treated windows and white PVC profiles, there are numerous variations - with the result that the repairs are also very different. In principle, repairs are possible in production or during installation, right through to the repair of burglary damage or signs of wear. As the repair areas of windows and doors are usually exposed to the weather, the repair material and technology are also subject to special requirements.
